Understanding the Information in the Paid Compensation Earnings Report

Here’s a guide to understanding the various data points available within our customized paid compensation reports. 

A) Quantity - Number of units sold and returned

B) Net Sales - Wholesale price of all books sold.

C) Print Charge for print books sold or the Distribution Charge for ebooks sold will be displayed

D) Net Pub Comp - Compensation earnings after all returns and deductions.

Two other columns may be displayed that are not in the example below.

• Tax - This column will list taxes applied to the global distribution fee for books in certain markets like Australia or the UK. 
• Other - This column will display the 1% global distribution fee and may include other adjustments to compensation payments.
• Detailed information for items in the Tax and Other columns can be found in the Expanded Title Detail report.
