Why is my sales report different than my compensation report?

Compensation is paid 90 days after the month in which the sale occurred. For example, sales in August will be visible in your December compensation. 

If you are comparing annual sales and compensation, the values will be different because the periods are different. For example, sales from January 2025 - December 2025 are paid in May 2026 - April 2026. Your compensation and sales reports will never match exactly for the same period because of the 90-day delay in payment. You can find more information about payment schedules here.

Why am I not receiving compensation payments? 

If you are not receiving compensation payments, you likely have either not had any sales or have not met the minimum threshold requirements in global markets. We recommend that you review the Sales and Compensation reporting in your account.

Why are you charging me for returns?

Returns are deducted from your compensation or may be invoiced to you directly if there is not enough unpaid compensation to cover the costs of returns. You can find more information about returns here. 

I am filing my taxes and need a 1099. Where can I get one?

We do not provide a 1099, as compensation payments are not subject to reporting on Form 1099 MISC. Instead, you can run a compensation report.

How can bookstores order my book?

If your book is enabled for distribution, it is available through Ingram's distribution network. Bookstores, libraries, and other retailers can order directly through their standard Ingram processes. 

What QR code or URL should I provide to bookstores to order my book?

The process for ordering via Ingram can vary depending on the bookstore, library, retailer, etc. There is no direct link or QR code you can provide. Alternatively, you can advise that your book is available through Ingram.

My discount is 40% but a bookstore says they are receiving 20% or 25%. Why?

The discount seen in your IngramSpark account is a wholesale discount, not a retail discount. The wholesale discount you select through IngramSpark is shared among all distribution partners throughout the supply chain. If you want a 40% retail discount, we recommend using a 55% wholesale discount.
