This guide explains how to cancel your title's or remove them from distribution through IngramSpark. You will learn how to submit a cancellation request, what happens after cancellation, and important details regarding file retention and returnable books.
Canceling your title
Canceling a title removes it from IngramSpark's distribution network. Once canceled, your title will no longer be available for purchase from retailers through our platform. You will also no longer be able to order copies of your book through your IngramSpark account.
Removing your title from distribution
Removing your title from distribution will remove the ability for retailers to sell your book through IngramSpark's distribution network. You will still be able to order your books directly from your IngramSpark account.
Instructions
These settings cannot be edited directly through your IngramSpark account. To request removal or changes, please follow the steps below:
- Contact us using the email address registered to your IngramSpark account.
- In your message, clearly specify the ISBN(s) and advise that you want to 'Cancel' or 'Remove Distribution'.
- Wait for confirmation from the support team that your request has been received and is being processed.
What happens after cancellation
After cancellation: - Retailers may take some time to update their listings; your title will no longer be available for purchase. - Your files will be deleted after 180 days from the cancellation date. - If your title is returnable, booksellers have 180 days to return unsold copies. Costs related to returns may be deducted from your compensation or invoiced to you.
We advise that you keep a copy of your files and data before cancellation, since files are deleted after 180 days.
