Updating Your Account Name

If you do not have a legally registered business name, your legal name will need to be used for your IngramSpark account.

The account name must also match the name on the bank account for the deposit of publisher compensation payments, for books sold through Ingram's Global Distribution network.

To update your account name, use this Name Change Request Form to start the process. We do not collect W9 forms. You can upload tax resale certificates for your account. For more sales tax-related information please see this article: Sales Tax Information

If you would like to have your books distributed with a different imprint, so the imprint name appears as the publishing name in the book information feeds Ingram sends to booksellers, retailers, libraries, and websites, please do the following: 

• Log into your IngramSpark account.
• Click on a book's title, which is a hyperlink that will take you to the Title Information page.
• Under the BASIC section (Basic button), scroll down to the Category section.
• Hover over the imprint name until a pencil appears.
• Click on the arrows to select a different imprint or add a new one in the field and save.

The imprint name will appear as the publishing name in the book information feed Ingram distributes. Ingram sends the information to booksellers, etc., every Friday evening. How quickly this information is updated on websites is up to the retailer or bookseller.
