How to Make Changes or Edits to a Book

Print Ready PDF or EPUB for Ebook

If you uploaded print-ready digital files when you set up a new print title that is now in production, or you uploaded an EPUB file and JPEG for the ebook, you will follow this process: 

Make the changes or edits to the PDF or EPUB file(s) for your book and then upload the revised files through your IngramSpark account as a revision. IngramSpark allows free corrections/revisions, for the first 60 days after the book has been approved for production (printing). After 60 days, a $25 revision fee will apply to each revised file.

Please follow the instructions detailed below to submit your revised file:

• Click on the title of your book - this will take you to your Title Information page
• Select the “Upload New File” button below the Title Information heading at the top of the page
• Upload the cover and/or interior file into the appropriate box
• Press the “Continue” button at the bottom of the page to ensure we receive your file for processing

IngramSpark Bookbuilding Tool (Print or Ebook)

If you used the IngramSpark Bookbuilding tool to create the files we need to print from you will follow this process:

Select the title and click on the 'Edit My Files' button. When the revisions/editing​​ are complete, click on 'Approve My Book' ​in the upper right-hand corner. Proceed the same way you did the first time you uploaded files.

You can download a PDF to review to ensure the corrections are being submitted. If the files are correct, select the box next to 'I approve' and continue.

When you get to this page, click on 'Finish Book' and review the metadata.

Click on 'Continue' until you reach the confirmation page that states the revision submission was successful. Review the proof to ensure the changes were made and are correct. We recommend ordering a print copy anytime revisions are made, so you can make sure the book will print in the way it is intended. 

File processing usually takes 3-5 business days. After your files are processed, you will receive an eproof to review. We strongly recommend ordering a print copy to review before approving the title for distribution to retailers or placing orders.

EPUB for Ebooks (IngramSpark Conversions)

If you used our EPUB conversion services, where we created the EPUB file from your print PDF, you will follow these instructions for submitting edits:

If you need to make 10 or fewer editorial changes (punctuation, misspellings, etc.), please contact the support team ingramsparksupport@ingramcontent.com for a form to fill out with the corrections. Revisions can take up to 3 business days to complete.

If you have more than 10 edits to make to the ebook file, a new conversion must be submitted. A Manual Conversion spreadsheet is needed and support can provide this to you. New conversions take up to 15 business days, and a full conversion at $.60 per page would be charged.
