Here are some general guidelines we expect to be followed:

There will be no use of profanity on our message boards

Vulgar and insulting nicknames or usernames will be removed. Nicknames or usernames attempting to impersonate other users will be removed.

Do not post information that encourages criminal activity of any kind, or any statements that may give rise to civil liability.

Trolling and cyberstalking are NOT permitted on this Forum and are grounds for restriction. Trolling on this board includes posting controversial and often irrelevant or off-topic messages with the intention of (or anticipated result of) baiting other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal, harmonious on-topic discussion, especially when a pattern of such posting is apparent.

Do not post affiliate links or links to direct others to any pages at their own commercial website or website in which they have a commercial interest, including informational pages unless a vendor account has been established.

General discussions of politics, general government policies, weaponry, gun rights and religion are not permitted in this Forum. However, we understand occasional discussions regarding current or pending legislation or regulations pertaining directly to the publishing world may be acceptable. However, these will be closed or removed if they wander off topic or become disruptive.

This Forum does not discourage or endorse any commercial entity and is not intended for soliciting business. Any authorized commercial participants must adhere to all the forum policies including these specifically set out for commercial participants:

Any posts or messages express the views of the individual and not always the views of LSI or our employees. We reserve the right, but undertake no duty, to review, edit, move, or delete any content submitted by users, in our sole discretion, without notice
Violations
If LSI solely determines any Rules of Conduct are violated, we reserve the right to remove, edit or delete posts and if necessary ban or restrict further account access. Additionally, violations of these Rules of Conduct may also cause immediate suspension of your Lightning Source account. Abuse toward Forum administrators or moderators may result in suspension of your account. Complaints about a moderator's decision regarding a particular post are not to be made in posts; instead send a private message to a moderator. If a moderator deletes or edits one of your posts and you disagree with the action, contact the moderator concerned or any other member of our site team. Do not repost deleted material. This forum is largely self-policing, which means that moderators will respond and react to problems reported to them of LSI here.
