Amazon price is different lower stock on hand paid royalty, reduce, cheaper
When you set up a title on your IngramSpark account, you assign it a retail price, a wholesale discount, and a return option, which is the information we send Ingram and the other distribution partners.
Amazon and other retailers may offer your book at a lower retail price to be more competitive in the marketplace. Sometimes they will drastically reduce the retail price of a book to make space on their shelves for other products.
If a retailer reduces the retail price of your book, this does not affect the compensation amount you earned for books sold. If the retailer has stock on hand, you were already compensated for the books they purchased.
If you see your book for sale at a very low price (sometimes less than the cost to print the book), you may want to consider purchasing the books for your own use.
If you make a change to that pricing (retail price, wholesale discount, returns) we send the updated pricing information to our distribution partners every Friday.
Pricing listed on retailer websites is at their discretion.
