If your interior images are already in the Word file you can upload the Word file in it's entirety and the images will stay in the same place they were in the Word file. If you have an extensive number of images to upload, there may be some delay and take a long time to upload. It can be easier to upload them after you upload the Word file.
You can also add images as you go. There are two ways to do this.
- You can click on the 'Gallery' section on the left side of your screen and the images in the Word file will be located here. There is also a yellow drag-and-drop window you drag images to or browse your device to locate.
- Open a chapter by clicking on the small box with a pencil in it that is located on the right side of each chapter.
- Place the cursor where you would like to insert the image.
- Select one of the images from the gallery or drag and drop an image. You can also browse your device to search for images. Please keep in mind there is a 10 MB file size limit
- Select a size (the red rectangle will indicate the current selection).
-
- 100% will scale the image to fit the width of the text.
- 50% will scale the image to fit half the width of the text.
- 25% will scale the image to fit a quarter the width of the text.
-
- Keep in mind that if you have an image and increase the dimensions drastically, the resolution of the printed image will be low resolution. We recommend keeping the size similar to the original or resizing the image in an image editor so you can closely review if there is any quality loss.
- Select position of the image
-
- Left, right or center
- Top or bottom, which will place the image at the top of the page or the bottom of the page.
-
- Add a caption to your image/photo.
- Credit the image (typically a photographer or graphic designer).
- To remove the image drag your mouse over the image to highlight it and click the delete button.
