I have illustrations that have been scanned to JPG. They will be full-sized in the children's book (picture book style) and go edge-to-edge on the page. I'm using Word to compile the book. I'm using this workflow:
- Photoshop: convert image to CMYK (SWOPv2 profile). Size to exact size of layout (11.125x8.75)
- Save as JPG (including Using the Swop profile or should it just be WOrking CMYK alone)
- Copy and paste into Word file. Reset image to 100%
- Export to Adobe Acrobat using the Acrobat word plugin from adobe. Set to PDF/X-1a:2001
I'm wondering if in step 2 if I should save with the profile.
Any other gotchas? This is my first time using IngramSpark. I've used Amazon/KDP Print before. And first time doing a children's book too.
Thanks for any tips!
