I don't believe that there is a special fee for first EVER publishing a book. The normal fee is USD49, but untill June 30, it's free to upload files:

    Free Title Upload

Use promo code SELFPUB to upload a new title for FREE by June 30, 2018!

And until May 31 revisions (upload of altered files) are free. No promo code is necessary.

    Hi Matthew,

    In answer to your question:

"With publishing a book, are there any fees associated with first publishing the book?"

Are there fees associated with printing a book at Ingram? Yes.

For the initial upload of your book (in an eBook or print book format), there will be fees associated with it. But it's only a one-time fee for the upload per title. However, if you have edits/changes to make to your book after you enable distribution, there WILL be additional revision fees.

Chances are, you may not have to pay for the initial upload fees since there are always promo codes floating around. :-)

There is NO charge each time your book gets printed (apart from the costs of production, which is included in the printing process).

I hope you find this helpful.

    Eric
