    Positive media exposure almost always gives you an immediate rush of sales.  To get reviews, ask for them.  Write up a press release and look online for press release distributors.  Most of them charge money.   Also, create a list of the most relevant reviewers the hard way -- searching for them -- and send your book to them (probably by mail; email addresses are hard to find, so you'll probably mostly distribute print copies) with a cover letter, the press release, or the sales sheet or onesheet. 

    Negative press gets bad results, but it's one of the risks of being in business.

    Check with the local media about getting onto their morning shows to discuss your book(s).
