When a bookstore, retail store or website (all are referred to as retailers) wants to order a book, it is typically purchased through a distributor or wholesaler, instead of directly from the printer or publisher, which saves the retailer time and money. With Ingram’s Print on Demand service, a retailer can order a title through Ingram Book Company, and the order prints, ships and arrives to the consumer or retailer within a few days. The sale of the book is added to the publisher’s online publisher compensation report when it leaves our print facility. Payment is made to the publisher 90 days from the end of the month in which the book was sold. For more information about publisher compensation, click here.
