ISBN already in use: The ISBN you are trying to use is already in the Lightning Source system, possibly on another Lightning Source or IngramSpark account. Contact Client Services for assistance.
Setup Incomplete: If you’ve started entering information about your book, but haven’t completed the final setup page (and file upload), then your title will likely be listed as “setup incomplete.”
Title in Setup: Once your files have been submitted to us, your title should list as “Title in Setup” briefly, before moving into Premedia. (Note: if you notice that your title is listed in Setup for more than 2 days, there may be an issue or error with your files!)
Title in Premedia: We have received your files, and our Premedia team is examining them to ensure that they are compatible with our printing system. (This will generally take 3-5 business days to complete.)
Revision Incomplete: You may see this status if you have uploaded revised files, but have not completely submitted them to us. This means that we haven’t received anything, and you’ll need to complete file submission.
Title Pending Revision: If your title was already in distribution when you uploaded revised files, any orders that have already been placed will need to be fulfilled before we can update your files in our system. While we are waiting for these orders to completed, your title will show as “pending revision.”
Title in Revision: Your revised files have been received and are being processed through the Premedia department. (Interiors may process in as little as 1 day; covers generally take 2-4 business days.)
Title Processing Error: We have received your files, but there are issues with your interior, your cover, or both. You should have received an email detailing the issues we have discovered.
Title Metadata Change: You may see this status if you have requested to have the distribution or pricing removed for your title. If you are transferring your title into another account, your title might also be showing as this status.
Title on Hold: If you requested that we change trim size, title transfer, or bind type, your title will likely be in this state while we are working on making your changes.
Pending Publisher Approval: You have an e-proof waiting to be approved! You will need to look over it carefully for errors and formatting issues, as well as a final copy-edit. If you see any issues, you should reject it and upload revised files. If you approve it, we strongly recommend choosing the 2nd approval option and ordering a print copy to inspect before enabling your title for sale through our distribution channels. (Note: any orders placed for physical copies will not print until the e-proof has been approved!)
Pending Internal Review: The Premedia team is almost finished creating your e-proof from the files you had submitted. It is undergoing a final check, and you should receive notification shortly that you have an e-proof awaiting approval.
Title has been Rejected: You will see this status when you have rejected your e-proof. You will need to upload new files for review in Premedia, or otherwise contact us for changes in order to move forward with your title.
Available for Printing/Download: Congratulations! Your title is fully set up and ready for you to order a physical copy. (Note: this doesn’t reflect whether or not your title is “in distribution,” which is how retailers and wholesalers will gain access to ordering your book. You will need to click on the title of the book and scroll down to “Distribution” underneath Print details to see if this has been enabled.}
Title is Cancelled: If you have requested that we cancel a title, this is the status that will be listed. These titles will never disappear completely from your account. If you wish to reactivate this title, you will need to contact us.
Content Being Validated: Content being validated is a preflight check for reviewing your files uploaded to your IngramSpark account. If your title is in this status it also means the files have yet to be submitted to Ingram Spark. Please click on the title name from your Dashboard and continue the file submission.
Awaiting Customer Update: You'll see Awaiting Customer Update as the status of your title if you've rejected your eproof and noted that new files need to be submitted. Your title will remain in this status until your new files are uploaded.
